And this is what they had to say about it
Matt is the most engaging and relevant emcee I have ever seen at an event. He was able to generate energy and excitement from all of the delegates within the first 5 minutes. With ease he introduced them to the overall scope of the event while breaking the ice and starting off the day on an extremely high note. He was able to align himself with the conference theme and create a non-threatening, upbeat environment. I would highly recommend Matt for speaking engagements of all varieties!
- Nathan Tippe, Logistics Director, Enterprize Canada
“Every presentation Matt has done for us in the past year can be summed up in 3 words: innovative, challenging, and engaging. Not only does he challenge his audience to be innovative and push past the current standard, he role models this through new presentation techniques and tools. I have often heard our staff say that they used techniques learned in his various workshops with great success. He keeps his participants engaged throughout his presentations and inspires them to go from functional to exceptional.”
- Woo Kim, Program Resource Centre Coordinator, UBC Residence Life
Matt Corker’s presentation “Fundraising in Flip Flops – attracting the next generation of fundraisers and donors” was a fascinating journey into the generational differences we are currently facing in the workforce. Specifically, we learned how the fundraising profession and managers within can adapt to capitalize on the strengths these new colleagues and donors can bring to an organization. Matt’s enthusiasm and sense of humour creates a fun learning environment in which one feels like an active participant. Matt is a Millennial himself but his real credibility comes from an enormous understanding he has gained through the research conducted in this topic area.
- Philippe (Phil) Gérard, Recruitment Specialist, University of British Columbia
“When my co-workers promised that Matt’s session would be outstanding, I chose to bring the platinum sponsor of the conference to his workshop – and he exceeded both my and the COO’s expectations. Matt is an extraordinary presenter, a dynamic speaker who delivers concrete tools in an interactive and engaging format.”
- Catherine Metrycki, Director Sponsorship & Finance, UBC Student Leadership Conference
“Matt’s workshop about finding a vision and mantra for the Dr. Simon KY Lee Global Lounge was interactive, engaging and informative. The workshop got our group thinking differently about our space, its functions and the community we have and want to create within it. Without this two hour workshop we’d still be trying to create a mission statement – the workshop helped us take the first steps to where we needed to go!”
- Jolanta Lekich, International Student Coordinator, Dr. Simon KY Lee Global Lounge
“Matt is a one of a kind individual. With a smart business acumen and aptitude for leadership, I was very impressed by his teamwork, preparation and enthusiasm. Matt always seems to be smiling and upbeat, and it is easy to see why he is so good at entertaining and engaging an audience. Our conference was a huge success due to Matt’s organization and professionalism, and I would not hesitate at all to have him again at a future event.”
- Sahil Dhingra, Co-Chair, UBC Student Olympic Collaborative
