I have been overwhelmed with gratitude this past week as it came in tidal waves and small smiles.
Ariel + Shahed took me under their wing while in Mexico and made this gent feel so much love. I’ve rocked out solo at weddings before (albeit not as exotic as Puerto Vallarta), and having these two by my side made the adventure that much sweeter (and taste a lot like tequila).
After my sis made the open ask to help find tickets to Kona for me and her fan club champs, I got a call on Thursday from Shauna telling me that she was donating her air miles/points to my flight! Within the hour, I had a ticket to Kona in my inbox. Talk about #alohalove! I’ll be cheering for two in Kona for sure.
Sis and DLP know I love live music. They also know that Mraz tops the charts of my heart and Matisayu knows how to rock out like only a great spiritual rapper does. Two concerts in four days hosted by these ladies = feeling totally blessed.
Moving away from Vancouver also reminded me of who I love having in my life here in this city. They’re the ones who have booked my time right away when I got back. They’re the “I don’t care what I have to do to see you, we’re making it work” kind of friends. The ones that I am important to, and are important to me. They (and their hugs) are the best. It’s good to have you back into my life.
AND – I’m super grateful to those readers in far away lands that sent their Vancouver friends out to these events this past weekend. Your friends, who are pretty rad I might add, approached me and said a warm hello from you. Thanks for making that connection for us.
What else are we grateful for today? What can we celebrate a little more?
Who can we give thanks to?
