I made the goal of becoming a yoga teacher just under a year ago.
I was initially inspired by some incredible business leaders that had a background in physical training, body work, and yoga. Their business acumen and how they showed up for others was grounded in an understanding of people that went far beyond MBTI types, strengths, and emotional intelligence. They don’t teach that stuff in business books (yet).
So I got curious. How do they approach unlocking potential in others?
Over the last year I really focused on my yoga practice (rather than just doing yoga to stay fit) – of building a personal yoga practice at home and on exploring the styles and teachers from different countries. Synergies started to emerge between my physical, intellectual, and spiritual studies. I was amazed when what I was doing in my coaching workshop would be touched on in my yoga class and then, fast forward to today, again sitting in my MBA class. It was as if my teachers and mentors were in cahoots with each other.
They weren’t.
The message was being sent. Got it.
And, with this kind of support, I’m feeling a whole lot of gratitude towards those that have helped me get to today. Thank you.

To be honest, I get a huge heart-on when I think about being that leader and friend who brings out the best in his high performing team doing some pretty darn meaningful work around the world, who kicks some serious butt in a spin class, and who makes hearts explode both on and off the mat. That would be a friggin good day in my books. LTD.
