When I cross that finish line
When I stand up after being in chair pose for what feels like forever.
When I finally hear that “yes” I’ve been waiting for.
… a large sigh of relief encompasses my body. It’s a physical and audible sigh where my body can relax again and get into its groove.
On Tuesday, my yoga teacher had us practice chair pose after chair pose after chair pose. When the audible sigh of relief came as we stood up nice and tall she said:
Ah! Your mind just said: ‘thank goodness I’m out of that.’
Now try to incorporate that feeling of relief into the next pose. Think ‘thank goodness I’m in it.’ Be grateful for the fact you are here, working through it, improving yourself. You can show more love through difficult times that way.
And with that, we went back into chair pose.
“Thank goodness I’m in it.”
