I have a rule about my “Pick of the Posts:” each song must easily be downloaded (via iTunes or “other means”). If you like what you hear, you should be able to buy/find it online and add it to your collection of great tunes!
Now I want to make your life a whole lot easier. You can turn the YouTube videos I link to into mp3s and add them to your collection right away!
Simple instructions on how to turn YouTube videos into mp3s or other sound files:
- Go to Dirpy
- Enter the URL of the YouTube video you want to have a sound file of – and press dirpy!
- Fill out some details about the song title and artist – and press record. BAM! It’s yours!
This is great for turning music videos into songs you can play on your iTunes or for using the original audio track when creating a parody video. How frickin awesome is that!
Caveat: if you enjoy the tunes enough, you should always support the artist by buying their tunes. But if this is step one of you falling in love with them and buying tickets to their concert, I support that!
