The only thing worse than “all talk, no action” is when it’s “all talk, wrong action.”
You can’t create that great team by making fun of each team member’s insecurities.
You can’t find that enriching and loving relationship by having a series of one night stands.
You can’t save for that trip by buying a new pair of shoes every week.
You can’t enjoy your job by taking every opportunity you get to complain about it.
Wrong actions take away your time, energy, and money from the right actions. Wrong actions don’t work to help you achieve what you set out to do. And while we may not always know what the “right actions” are, we innately know what doesn’t work. And when we stop doing what doesn’t work we give ourselves the opportunity to find out what does.
