Word of the day: Corker!

This morning Justin Yang shared with me Wordnik’s Word of the Day which just so happens to be CORKER! I wish I made this stuff up…

To get the full definition I turned to Dictionary.com’s definition, which defines “corker” as:

- noun

1. a person or thing that corks.

2. Informal. something that closes a discussion or settles a question.

3. Informal. someone or something that is astonishing or excellent.

4. Slang. a remarkable or outstanding person or thing

5. Slang. someone or something good, funny, or entertaining.

These definitions were the inspiration of my site – striving to make it and its content real corkers. But may the word of the day be a reminder to us all to make today a corker in itself. Give out a great high five. Tell a hilarious (or corny) joke to your colleagues. Smile a little more than usual. Make a difference. Action something remarkable.

Today is truly your day to be remarkable. Now THAT’S a corker!
