Starting the weekend off right

My four day weekend is in full swing, with a long to-do list already created and started! As the dust gets cleared and the shelves get organized, I am reminded of the importance of clearing and organizing your mind. It’s probably the most important spring cleaning you could do this weekend!

Clearing your mind is really about making room for new thoughts to come in. You need to remove the things that have a hold of your attention so you can actively complete them and move on! David Allen’s book “Getting Things Done” is a great resource for this by the way.

The “removal process” can be done in a number of ways, such as: creating a to-do list (my Nana and sis’ favourite!), being active (grab your bike or do some yoga), or – my personal fav – having a dance party around the house.

The sun is shining. The weekend is young. It’s time to dust (off your shoulder) and clear your way (to the dancefloor)!
