Why Corkers love St. Patrick’s Day

There is quite the folklore about why we Corkers love St Patrick’s Day, but one thing is for sure, we certainly love St. Patrick’s Day! My Dad always calls to wish me well “from one leprechaun to another” and reminds me that “with a name like Corker you know we’re not German!” Well said Pops.

Despite all the stories and superstition of the day, St. Patrick’s Day, to me, will always represent a time of change. A time to find new love or to fall out of love. A time to find new opportunities or to let go of those that need to be finished. A time to change your life and your outlook on it, all for the better!

It’s that kick in the butt we need each spring as we realize we aren’t making the start of the year the best it could possibly be. And what better kick in the butt than a full day of celebrating good spirit, health, and company!

So today, on this day of change, surround yourself with great people and positive things. It will only bring you closer to that pot of gold you are looking for!

And a big thanks to Conor Topley who called from the South American jungle to wish me a happy St. Pat’s! Sorry to have missed the call, but your message brightened my day for sure!

Many merry cheers to you all!
