Getting by with the help of your friends

After a not-so-stellar week, I was reminded tonight that in order to get over a hump, sometimes you need a little push. And let me tell you, I’m glad that I surround myself with people that keep pushing me. When you’re running through life, it’s important to ensure you have some good “race support” to help keep you focused, motivated, and energized.

This time last year, me and two of my friends (who I would also consider to be crucial members of my “race support” crew) headed into the BC interior on an incredible roadtrip. As any roadtrip would have it, we took tons of pictures, discussed life and love, sang to our iPods, and laughed until our sides hurt. Ah – the glory of the open road.

Roadtrips are fantastic. Amazing friends are even better.

[The song we sang way too often - every roadtrip needs a themesong!]
