Another Night with Jason Mraz

Tonight I got to spend the night with a man I am so infatuated with: Mr. Jason Mraz! I was first introduced to him by a great friend of mine, Cody Paige, when we were traveling to a conference together back in 2002. From that point on, I have fallen more in love with his music and his mantra.

He was performing tonight at The Centre to a sold out show – obviously! The audience was great, but his performance was even better. He sang, he danced, as he stole the show! My favourites of the night would have to be A Beautiful Mess, No Stopping Us, and Dynamo Volition. Man! His positivity, longing for love, and cries for change just echo through his lyrics.

Besides having a wild dance party in the audience with some of my best friends, snatching the set list at the end of the night, and getting the business card of his trumpet player Fernando, I was most blown away by his closing remarks. He thanked the audience for the love and kindness that he felt from the stage and encouraged us to show that same love and gratitude to our families, our colleagues, and our communities.

Mr. A-Z, you never cease to impress me. You truly represent the fact that “once we’ve hit the top, we’ve just begun!”
